Who We Are

We are the world’s largest seaborne exporter of nitrogen fertilizer globally and the largest producer in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). 

Our production capacity comprises of 6.5 million tons of sellable urea and merchant ammonia, produced at four subsidiaries in the UAE, Egypt and Algeria.

We benefit from direct access to six key ports and distribution hubs on the Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, and the Arab Gulf.

Our complementary production and distribution locations bring geographic diversity and enhanced market access, benefitting both existing and new customers.

Established in 2019 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, we are a 58/42 joint venture between OCI N.V. and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)

We benefit from the full support and guidance of our two shareholders with strong governance led by our Board of Directors, consisting of 6 members nominated by OCI and 4 nominated by ADNOC. H.E. Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Cabinet Member and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ADNOC, is Chairman of the Board, and Nassef Sawiris, Executive Chair of OCI N.V., is CEO of Fertiglobe.
