Egyptian Fertilizers Company (EFC)

EFC produces 0.9 million metric tons of anhydrous ammonia and 1.65 million metric tons per year of granular urea. 

EFC is located at the port of Ain
Al Sokhna, Egypt’s deepest port,
approximately 55 kilometers south
of the Suez Canal at the heart of the
global East-West trade route. This
gives EFC a freight cost advantage
over other Middle Eastern and Asian
urea producers as exports from EFC
do not pass through the Suez Canal.
EFC is also located across the street
from Egypt Basic Industries Corporation
(EBIC) on the grounds of Suez Industrial
Development Company’s (SIDC)
industrial park in Ain Sokhna, allowing
